Developing Artists • Ages 11–15
Dance, Theatre, Art, and Music Classes for Ages 11-15 in Putnam, Connecticut.
Whether students are exploring the arts for the first time or continuing to build on previous experience, our classes provide age-appropriate instruction, individualized support, and meaningful opportunities for artistic growth.
Developing Artists are entering a stage of greater artistic ownership, technical refinement, and personal expression. Through focused instruction in dance, theatre, music, and visual arts, students strengthen their technique while taking on greater creative responsibility, collaborating more intentionally with peers, and performing with increasing confidence. At this stage, they begin to see themselves not only as students, but as artists capable of creating meaningful work.
Dance
Students continue refining technique, artistry, musicality, strength, flexibility, and performance quality while exploring more advanced movement vocabulary. Classes emphasize disciplined practice, creative problem-solving, artistic expression, and the confidence to perform with authenticity.
Theatre
Students deepen acting skills through scene study, character analysis, improvisation, voice, movement, and ensemble performance. Training emphasizes emotional authenticity, collaboration, storytelling, creative interpretation, and confident stage presence.
Creative Arts
Students investigate increasingly sophisticated artistic concepts through drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, and design. Projects foster technical refinement, creative independence, experimentation, critical observation, and the development of a personal artistic voice.
Music
Private lessons provide individualized instruction that strengthens technical ability, musical interpretation, performance confidence, and independent practice habits. Students continue developing musicianship while pursuing personal artistic goals and expanding their musical interests.
