Creative Explorers • Ages 8-10
Dance, Theatre, Art, and Music Classes for Children Ages 8-10 in Putnam, Connecticut.
Students in the Creative Explorers program are developing greater independence, technical skill, and creative confidence. As they grow as artists, students begin to take ownership of their learning, collaborate more intentionally with peers, and engage in increasingly complex artistic processes. Through dance, theatre, music, and art classes, performances, and creative projects, students refine their skills while exploring personal interests and discovering new artistic possibilities.

Students seeking a more immersive arts education experience may participate in The Complex Conservatory program. Conservatory students engage in cohort-based learning, interdisciplinary collaboration, creative process work, and expanded performance opportunities.
Performance Opportunities Included with Enrollment
Students in this age group participate in:

These performances are designed to celebrate growth, creativity, and artistic development while providing age-appropriate opportunities to share work with family and friends.
Audition-Based Productions
Throughout the year, The Complex produces theatrical productions and special performance projects that may be open to both Complex students and community members through the audition process. Audition dates and eligibility requirements vary by production.
