• A Note from the Director:
Welcome to our new students and welcome back to all of our beautiful returning faces! As we approach the beginning of our 17th season, we are filled with excitement and are so anxious to see all of our students! It is with a gracious heart that the directors and staff welcome you back to The Complex and are eager to work with you all in class and in performance (yes, you read that right - performances are back!!! Safely, of course!).
The mission of The Complex Performing and Creative Arts Centre is to offer exceptional arts education to the community, create an innovative hub for performance and education, open a space for students to grow and flourish through creative critical thinking and ignite a life-time love of the arts for all students. The Complex is not only a place of excellence in technical arts education, it is a place where students evolve year after year; they learn the importance of collaboration, strong work-ethic, dedication and persistence, self-actualization, self-discipline, creative problem solving, and critical thought.
Our 17th season of Arts Education, Creative Development and Performance comes with new adventures, new ideas and even new faces! We are very excited to welcome new staff members to our faculty roster this year. Please welcome Evan Delaney (guitar/piano), Ryan Defoe (Acting/Directing Teacher/The Complex Players Theatre Director/Director of Community Engagement) and Carl Mercier (Community Theatre Director).
-All people entering The Complex must wear a mask until further notice.
-All students will have a personal space for belongings. We ask the students limit their belongings to one small bag
-The lobby is closed to parents / family members at this time. All children over the age of 6 should be dropped off at the front entrance and picked up immediately following class. Children under 6 may be accompanied into the building by a guardian. The guardian may wait with the child until the teacher brings everyone up to class and then return to pick up their child at the end of class.
-If your child shows any symptoms associated with COVID-19, please keep them home to study virtually until they are symptom free or receive negative COVID test results.
-Sanitizing Stations can be found in each studio
-We ask that parents remind children to not touch others, wash hands, use sanitizer, and that their mask is there to protect our community.
-If anyone should test positive for COVID-19 or has been exposed to COVID-19, they must notify directors immediately. We will begin contact tracing within The Complex and, if necessary, move to an online platform for 14 days.
-Per the CDC guidelines please quarantine if you have been in close contact (within 6 feet of someone for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period) with someone who has COVID-19, unless you have been fully vaccinated. People who are fully vaccinated do NOT need to quarantine after contact with someone who had COVID-19 unless they have symptoms.
-Students who must quarantine, may participate in class/rehearsal virtually - student/parent must notify the complex to obtain virtual information 24hrs prior to the start of class.

A Few Reminders:
Please be sure dancers are not wearing their dance shoes outside. We want to keep those shoes clean and preserve our dance floors! All students should come to class with outside shoes, so that they can change their shoes before dismissal.
Mask Policy: Due to the increased risk to our unvaccinated youth, we are asking all individuals to wear a mask inside of our space, even if only popping in the front door for drop off or pickup
The lobby is closed to parents / family members at this time. All children over the age of 6 should be dropped off at the front entrance and picked up immediately following class. Children under 6 may be accompanied into the building by a guardian. The guardian may wait with the child until the teacher brings everyone up to class and then return to pick up their child at the end of class. Pick up will always take place right outside our front door. In order to streamline pick up time, we ask that you walk up to our front door rather than pulling up your car. If you can not find parking in time, we ask that you please pull over to the left side of the road (in front of our building, the salon, and The Courthouse) to avoid children needing to cross the street. Thank you.
A credit card must be kept on file and tuition will be automatically withdrawn. A $10 late fee will be added on to all tuition payments processed after the 10th calendar day of the month, and an additional $15 late fee for every 10 days after.
Please contact The Complex via phone or email if your student will not be in attendance for class
Please make every effort to attend class. There will, undoubtedly, be disruptions to attendance due to illness, quarantine, or other emergencies. Please make every effort to attend class regularly in case you are forced to be absent due to circumstances beyond your control.

Curiosity Week Success!
Wow!!! What a fun week we had! So many kiddos took advantage and sampled so many classes, experiencing parts of The Complex that were completely new to them. We loved seeing everyone in various classes and it was wonderful to share with you all!
