Theatre Classes
Our Theatre program invites students to explore the art of storytelling through movement, voice, imagination, and play. Classes encourage confidence, collaboration, and creative expression as students learn to bring characters and stories to life on stage. From introductory explorations to full production experiences, students build foundational skills in acting, improvisation, stage presence, and ensemble work.
Through a supportive and engaging environment, young actors discover their unique voices while developing empathy, communication skills, and a sense of belonging. Whether students dream of performing under the lights or simply want to gain confidence and creativity, Theatre at The Complex offers a place for every young artist to shine.
Youth Theatre - age 6-9
Children will explore the basics of stage direction, acting, ensemble singing, movement, stage presence, character development, improvisation, and imaginative play in a safe and supportive environment. Children build self-confidence and awareness through a series of exercises, games, and collaborations. Students will also explore puppetry, costume design, and storytelling. This is a wonderful program for all children to let their creative voice shine.

Our Senior Theatre Program challenges students to deepen their craft as performers, creators, and collaborators. Classes focus on advanced acting technique, character development, vocal performance, movement, and stage presence, while encouraging students to think critically about the stories they tell and the impact of live performance. Through scene work, ensemble projects, and performance opportunities, students refine their artistry in a supportive and inspiring environment.
Students enrolled in The Conservatory Program experience an expanded curriculum that includes intensive training in Acting, Musical Theatre, and Theatre Arts. The Theatre Arts component introduces students to the behind-the-scenes disciplines that bring productions to life—costume design, prop making, set design, and production design—giving them a comprehensive understanding of theatre as a collaborative art form.
