Summer Conservatory Dance Technique Series l Wednesdays | July 8–29
To support continued growth, strength, and artistry, The Complex offers a focused summer technique series designed for our Conservatory dancers. These classes provide essential training that sustains momentum between seasons and deepens each dancer’s technical foundation and expressive range.
Participation is considered an integral part of the Conservatory experience. Dancers who attend maintain conditioning, refine technique, and return to the fall season stronger, more confident, and better prepared for advanced work.

We understand that summer includes family travel and other commitments. If a dancer needs to miss a week due to vacation or scheduling conflicts, they are still encouraged to participate in the remaining sessions to gain the full benefit of the training.

• Little Learner's Dance Classes for ages 3-6 l 4:00-4:45 l Wednesdays | July 8–29
Our Early Childhood Dance program introduces young movers to the joy of dance through imagination, play, and exploration. These classes nurture coordination, confidence, and creativity while developing important motor skills and body awareness. Children learn to express themselves through storytelling, music, and movement, gaining early foundations in rhythm, balance, and technique. Through activities such as elementary ballet, modern-inspired movement, tumbling, balance beam work, and imaginative games, dancers build strength, focus, and self-esteem in a supportive, fun environment that celebrates curiosity and joy in motion.
• Youth Dance Sampler age 7-11 l 5:00-6:00 l Wednesdays | July 8–29
This fun and engaging class introduces dancers to Classical Ballet, Modern, and Jazz while building strong foundational skills such as alignment, musicality, coordination, and expressive movement. Students will apply what they learn through energetic choreography and creative exploration.
Dancers will also be introduced to the basics of dance-making, using guided improvisation to create and share their own movement in a supportive, confidence-building environment. Perfect for both new and returning students, this class nurtures technique, creativity, and a lifelong love of dance.

• Into the Jungle Camp
9:00am-12:00pm Ages 3 - 12
Did your child love Under the Sea camp last year? This summer we swing into the jungle! Campers explore rhythm, movement, storytelling, crafts, and creative play inspired by wild habitats and animal adventures. Have a blast in our fantastical world of Song and Dance in the Jungle!

• Puppetry Camp
12:30pm-3:30pm Ages 6 - 12
Do you like silly voices, little creatures, and using your imagination? Students enrolled in this camp will explore different types of puppetry, story telling, physical theatre, and each student will walk away with a puppet of their very own creation. This camp is perfect for the student who loves crazy characters and creative crafts.

• Power Crew Dance Camp
12:30-3:30pm Ages 7-12
Do you love K-Pop Demon Hunters? Then this is for you. Spend three days immersed in hip hop dance! High-energy choreography inspired by global pop performance styles and fierce dance crews. Perfect for dancers who love sharp moves, teamwork, and powerful stage presence.

• Musical Adventures Camp

Music, Dance, Art, Expeditions, Storytelling, Adventure! Musical Adventures camp takes little ones through their favorite stories through music and dance and creative arts. Dance, sing, play, create, and have fun this Summer! Musical Adventures Camp will take students on a daily journey where they will explore music and movement concepts, work with various visual art mediums, and have a blast with creative play!

Where will the sorting hat send you? Magical spells, daily duels, house ARTS competitions, and hilarious games ensue in our Wizarding School of Magical Arts. • Storybook Musical Theatre Camp
12:30pm - 3:30pm Ages 6 - 12
Love Disney? Love stories filled with brave heroes, powerful friendships, and a little wicked fun? This camp is for you. Through song, dance, and acting, campers will explore tales of an adventurous ocean princess, a girl discovering her extraordinary powers, and sisters learning the strength of love — all while building confidence and stage skills.

Welcome to Creative Fairy Dance Camp, where imagination takes flight and little ones aged 3-6 are invited to twirl into a world of wonder! Our enchanting camp is designed to ignite the spark of creativity in young dancers as they explore the magical realm of movement and expression. Children will delight in whimsical dance inspired by fairies, butterflies, and other fantastical creatures. Participants will develop coordination, rhythm, and confidence in a nurturing and supportive environment through playful activities, games, and story-based dances. Join us for three days of Broadway magic at our immersive camp designed for aspiring young performers aged 7-14! Our dynamic program offers a vibrant blend of singing, dancing, and acting workshops, where campers will discover their inner stars while exploring the exciting world of musical theater. From vocal training and choreography to character development and stage presence, our professional instructors will guide campers through an exhilarating journey of creativity and self-expression. From mastering vocal techniques and intricate choreography to delving into character development and stage presence, our comprehensive program offers a dynamic blend of workshops and activities designed to challenge and inspire. • Summer Dance Intensive
August 10th - 14th, 9am – 3pm • Ages 6-19
Our Annual Summer Dance Festival Intensive is a long-standing tradition among passionate dancers and a cornerstone of our Conservatory training. This immersive week is designed to deepen technique, expand artistic voice, and challenge dancers to grow in both skill and creative expression.
Each day, dancers will participate in a full schedule of classes including ballet, modern, tap, hip hop, and contemporary, providing a comprehensive technical foundation across multiple dance forms. In addition to technique classes, dancers will take part in choreography and composition sessions, where they will learn new repertory, explore the choreographic process, and develop their own creative voice as dance makers.
Throughout the week, dancers will also work with guest artists and faculty, gaining exposure to new styles, perspectives, and approaches to movement. Classes will incorporate dance history, artistic context, improvisation, and performance skills, helping students understand not only how to execute movement, but why it matters within the broader landscape of dance.
The intensive is designed to simulate a pre-professional training environment, encouraging dancers to push their limits, refine their technique, collaborate with peers, and strengthen their confidence as artists.
Participation in the Summer Dance Festival Intensive is required for all Dance Company members, as it serves as an important foundation for the upcoming season’s repertory and performance work. We also warmly welcome dedicated dancers from other studios and communities who are looking for a challenging and inspiring summer dance experience.
• Youth/Junior Summer Theatre Intensive

Our Summer Theatre Intensive for ages 6–12 is a fun, high-energy week designed for young performers who love to sing, act, move, and create.
Throughout the week, students will:

The intensive will conclude with an informal sharing so families can see what students have created.
This is the perfect opportunity for young performers to build confidence, develop stage skills, and experience the joy of theatre.
• Junior/Senior Summer Theatre Intensive
August 10th - 23rd, 4pm - 9pm • Ages 12-19
Our Annual Theatre Intensive for ages 12–19 is a focused, immersive performance experience designed for dedicated young artists.

Week One: Creation & Rehearsal
During the first week, students will rehearse and develop a full production together. They will train daily in:

Vocal performance and musical interpretation

Movement and physical storytelling

Ensemble collaboration

Script analysis and storytelling structure
Students will work closely with faculty as they build the show from the ground up. This is an active, rigorous rehearsal process that mirrors professional theatre environments.

Week Two: Tech Week
The second week will function as a full technical and performance week, where students will:

Students will experience what it truly takes to bring a production to life from rehearsal hall to stage.

Our professional faculty of music educators will ensure proper technical training and creative development for the highest level of success and personal achievement. The Complex staff are encouraging, inspirational, and motivational. Students meet individually with their instructor during their reserved, weekly time slot and study their preferred instrument from the list below. Students have the opportunity to work in an inspiring community of artists and students, allowing them to flourish as creative individuals and musicians.
